2 spend some time on pinterest, your favorite design blogs and magazines scouting your "style".

3 zero in on your key design elements - colors, cabinet finishes, appliance finishes, counter ideas.

4 once you have mapped out all of the above, begin to look for tiles that resonate with each of these. do they call out for glass tiles, mosaics, subway tiles, colored tiles or minimalist white?

5 the backsplash is the "forgotten horizon" in most kitchens. by selecting the right tile for this space, yor kitchen will not only be a space of function, but also a place of beauty.
