the founder of clé is an accomplished artist, sculptor and designer. her passion for the tile designs she discovered on european adventures led to the wildly successful blog and book called "tile envy", which increased an interest in — and desire for — tile, leading to the launch of clé. in addition to her own artwork and award-winning designs for clé, deborah is the foremost expert on tile and surfaces, first introducing the world to now-ubiquitous tiles like zellige and cement.
