Noir Fumé + Rosina Veneto

blushing after dark

soft blush meets smoky black, and, well, opposites do what they do best. rosina veneto’s faded peach and pale pink lighten up noir fumé’s earthy dark side, while touches of grey keep the pair perfectly in sync. warm, moody and a little unexpected, it's contrast with chemistry.

Octagon + Bouchon

the octagon + bouchon pattern is a classic for a reason. it is indeed familiar from historic interiors, but is nonetheless vital today. the eight-sided octagons create a framework, allowing the smaller squares to provide an accent in shape and color, bringing balance to the entire installation. this mosaic is a master class in the power of repetition and proportion.

the design chameleon

you may be surprised by the flexibility of this classic pattern. while tradition has given it a refined reputation, this duo is a true design opportunist, adapting easily to all kinds of spaces. its simple scale brings surprising structure to more relaxed rooms, from kitchens to laundry rooms. use it for everything from a pop of pattern in a powder room to adding grand geometry to a more tailored space.

Basalt + Marble

something bold, something softer. noir fumé is a classic basalt; formed billions of years ago when magma erupted and cooled rapidly on the earth's surface. this grey to black volcanic rock provides exceptional durability. in sweeter contrast, rosina veneto is a fine-grained, crystalline stone with unique rose, salmon, and cream tones. relatively unknown in the united states, it has been a prized european material since romans ruled.

clé Lapidary + Zio and Sons

our first stone collaboration with hudson valley designer anthony d'argenzio. following in the floorsteps of our zellige collaboration, we have assembled several of our stone species in the same timeless mosaic motif of octagons and bouchons. mosaics are available with both shapes in one stone or in a combination of two stones for contrast, allowing for subtle or bold patterning.
