here at clé, we have become known for our tile collaborations with artists and designers, however, it is our long-term aim to broaden everyone's concept of tile and to transform it from being a functional backdrop to a more artful, provocative facet of our surroundings. to that end, we have sought out heirloom quality tiles from across the globe. our tile offerings now extend from classic moroccan zellige, glazed raku-fired tiles from vietnam, rustic italian terracotta and carrara stone to thin-clay bricks domestically sourced.
our new studio is located in san rafael, california, and we are always looking for enthusiastic people to join our rapidly growing company.

supply chain - supply chain associate
  • the ideal candidate is energetic, responsible and willing to continuously learn, improving processes while working in a fast-paced environment. we are seeking someone who is enthusiastic about warehousing activities, transportation (international & domestic) and purchasing. you will be able to implement new process and measure your results, and you will lead logistic projects. when it comes to transportation and purchasing, you will handle contact with overseas vendors and understand the import process. you will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and company results.

    key responsibilities

    • warehouse project management
    • negotiation with logistic vendors
    • work with 3rd party suppliers, and other external partners
    • evaluate suppliers capacity planning and anticipate impacts
    • sales order processing
    • inventory management and optimization (availability, data quality, inventory turns...)

sales team – customer service representative
  • the ideal candidate is energetic, responsible and willing to continuously learn, improving processes while working in a fast-paced environment. we are seeking someone who is enthusiastic about having daily interactions with our clients and helping them to purchase materials for the project of their dreams. you will be able to work independently, but also be a part of a bigger team sharing and implementing processes and procedures that help ensure growth professionally. this position will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and company results.

    key responsibilities

    • first line of contact for our clients (pre-purchase) answering questions regarding all aspects of their project and pre-qualifying 
    • responsible for closing deals under 5k
    • mastery of hubspot, crm tool
    • daily priority organization procedures
    • round robin split communication
    • intermediary for sales questions between all departments
    • process and follow-up on sample orders

creative team - product development associate
  • the ideal candidate is organized, curious, responsible and willing to continuously learn, improving processes while working in a fast-paced environment. they have a high degree of ownership over their role and how it fits into the bigger picture at cle.

    this position is integral to development, maintenance, and the launch process of a product. you would work independently as well as bridging many departments, working closely with supply chain, marketing, and e-commerce.

    the position reports directly to product development supervisor.

     

    key responsibilities

    • maintaining studio's material library through regular ordering and filling
    • emailing and communicating with international and domestic vendors
    • R & D with existing vendors as well as new vendors
    • managing existing product, and smaller launches with existing vendors
    • communicating design ideas/concepts via visual mock-ups (drawings, photoshop, etc)
    • working directly with supply chain on inventory, financial planning and strategy
    • performing regular analytics such as- pricing, competitive edge, product success
    • overseas & domestic travel to maintain vendor relations

    skills & qualifications

    • architecture, interior design or other related design program preferred
    • interest in tile, materials, color, and texture
    • basic knowledge of Adobe creative suite preferred
    • adept in excel and/or google sheets
    • proficiency with written and oral communication

e-commerce team - project manager role
  • key responsibilities

    • own and drive successful execution and delivery of product launches and various e-commerce related projects
    • run meetings and develop project plans to keep teams on task, following each meeting with clear notes and next steps
    • convert project requirements to executable deliverables, and hold teams accountable for quality and timeliness of these deliverables
    • juggle a mix of large and small projects, often with overlapping importance and urgency
    • communicate directly and effectively with all levels of the organization, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

     

    qualifications

    • ba, bs, or equivalent in business, information technology, operations or related field
    • 3+ years of project management experience, ideally working in an e-commerce or tech related field
    • general understanding of the technical aspects of online applications, web development, e-commerce, and development frameworks. knowledge in magento commerce cloud preferred.
    • strong communication skills (written and verbal), with a successful track record in building relationships and influencing stakeholders
    • demonstrated the ability to bring structure to ambiguous environments and to work well with people at all levels of the organization
